It has been regularly maintained and driven only a few miles each month to keep the moving parts lubricated and in good working condition. According to the MARTI report, this car was originally painted Dark Moss Green, however, at some point it was repainted yellow, but this repaint is still in very good condition. This car is a true survivor and is in wonderful condition for a car that’s 44 years old. It’s like a time capsule which takes you back to 1967 just by standing next to it. The undercarriage has very little rust, however, what rust it does have is where you would expect to see it. So the frame and undercarriage is all in good condition. Should a person want to drive this car on a daily basis or purchase it as an investment, or both, either would be a good choice. Anyone who watches the auctions on TV are reminded everyday as to the excellent investment buy the Mustangs are now and will continue to be in the future. History of the 1967 Ford Mustang GT The 1967 Mustang brought the first major redesign. Although it was longer and wider, the Mustang kept the same wheel base of 108 inches. The grille opening was made larger to give the Mustang a meaner look as the rear taillight panel was concave. The fastback now reached all the way to the rear of the trunk and on all three models you could find simulated panel scoops on the rear quarters. The rear of the 1967 Mustang was also noticeably different than in previous Mustang model years. For the first time the Mustang’s rear tail lights were larger and concave in design. In the past the Mustang’s rear had been convex and basic. As for the 2+2 Mustang fastback model, its roofline now ran all the way to the rear trunk lid. A special ribbed rear panel with chrome bezels could be ordered by fastback owners seeking a customized look. In all, the rear of the Mustang looked bulkier and more performance oriented. Of note, 1967 was the last year F-O-R-D block lettering appeared across the front edge of classic Mustangs. This feature would not return until 1974. In all, the 1967 Ford Mustang was considered by most an improvement over previous model years. It was more powerful, it featured an improved suspension system, and it had an aggressive appearance.
