1972 Karmann Ghia Convertible in VERY GOOD condition. The car is ALL ORIGINAL. I have all of the maintenence records dating back to the original owner. It is a great weekend car and a great conversation piece. Every time I drive it people are always asking questions or telling you about how they had one just like it 40 years ago. From 10 feet away it looks almost perfect, but the car is 40 years old and has a few blemishes. In an effort to be transparent, I am including some close up photos that show what work needs to be done. As you will see in the close up photos, there is some work to do on the rockers. The floor boards are in great shape, as is the interior, and the engine. The car runs great. You will also notice a close up photo showing a small tear in the convertible top. This happened a couple of years ago, but I never drive the car with the top up and was planning to sell it so I never bothered to fix it. As far as I know, the chassis is straight and there seems to be no major body work done to the car due to an accident. The yellow color is the original color. I repainted the car when I purchased it in 1994. I have owned the car for 17 years. It had 82K miles on it in 1994 when I bought it and now has 88K. The car is obviously not in show condition, but it has a solid foundation to build upon. If your intent is to use it just for a weekend fun car, it is great the way it is now. I did quite a bit of research on how to price the car looking at the samba website as well as ebay, Hemmings, NADA Guides, etc. I think for the condition of the car, the price is in the right ballpark.
