Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is a hard to find 5 speed manual 1987 Lincoln mark vii LSC. I bought this car as a project and don't have the time or money to finish it up. I put a 5 speed manual transmission swap that i did myself. the transmission is out of a 87 Thunderbird turbo coupe, i used a bell housing from a 91 mustang gt, the flywheel and clutch are brand new for a 91 mustang gt, i used a pedal assembly out of a 88 mustang gt, and a billet aluminum and high strength clutch cable from ford racing for a 89 ford mustang gt and it adjusts down by the transmission. the only thing that needs done to finish up the 5 speed swap is to fabricate a shift boot to fit the center console. it does need repainted there are 2 spots where rust has started, 1 spot is on the right front fender, and the 2nd spot is on the right c piller. it does need a new exhaust on it to the muffler and tail pipe have rusted apart. there is a problem with the air ride on the car and haven't looked into it to much. if it sits for a day or 2 the front end goes down the rear has gone down to but took about 2 weeks of sitting. the pump works fine and the front will pump up with no problem. the front seats in the car need to be redone but the back seat looks like no one has ever sat on it. as far as i know i am the 4th owner of the car. i am not sure why the vehicle has a reconstructed title i have looked it over and haven't found any signs of it being in an accident. if i get the buy it now price i will include a set of headman headers and and a 2 1/2 inch exhaust that goes into thrush welded mufflers and it stops right at the rear axle. its and exhaust i took off my Thunderbird and should fit fine in this Lincoln because the engine compartments are the same. and it already has a double hump cross member out of a mustang in it to for the 5 speed swap. i am currently living in Newark DE but the car is located at my parents in Montoursville, PA. i will drive up to meet you to sign the title over.
