1961 Rolls Royce Phantom V James Young Body 1961 Rolls-Royce Phantom V James Young Limo, VIN 5LBV47 - An amazing, elegant vehicle. This 1961 James Young Phantom V limo has been owned by the same family since the late 1960s. It was used for very special occasions and otherwise stored in a climate controlled garage. The mileage is approximate - odometer once read 40K but after some mechanical work many years ago, it now reads 300 miles and is not operational. I know however, that the car was rarely driven during my father's lifetime, and has been stored exclusively for most of the last 15 years. It is automatic, left-hand drive, middle partition for privacy in the rear seats, with pull-down jump seats in the rear. The aluminum body is sound It is all original with the exception of paint. The car has been serviced by a RR mechanic who says that everything is in proper working order. He worked on the brakes not long ago, and it runs great. We have used it a few times for friends' weddings. Rear interior is in great shape It is a beautiful car that unfortuntely no longer has anyone to look after it. A RR historian once told me that he believes it won the "New York car show" back in 1961. It is truly a rare find.
