1959 Austin Healey Sprite Flawless, Zippy, Little Beauty History: Purchased in 1989 as a gift for my Father who loved these cars. The car was mechanically sound but, needed some cosmetic work. The car was driven by him 4 times [at most] between 1989-1992. The car was garaged in 1992 and sat untouched until 2010. With a limited amount of time and resources, my family went to work on the car to get it started for my dad to ride in it a few more times. A tune up and the following things were done: Carborator-disassembled/reworked, Lifters adjusted, Water Pump replaced, Wheel Bearing replaced-left, rear, and a new Thermostat. Condition: This car remains in great mechanical conditon. The only thing that needs attention is the Left Front Brake Cylinder (leaks). The car will start right up and idle on warm days. When it is cold a little more effort must be made until the engine gets warm. The exterior is in good condition. Needs a few touch ups, the hood emblem reattached (we ordered a new one, still in package), and the front small orange light needs a new cover. The interior needs a glovebox, new door panels, and new carpet throughout. No Rust has been noticed by anyone. Mileage: True Mileage Unknown, odometer reads 86880 Thanks for your interest.
