I am selling this vehicle for a close friend. I have known the owner of this vehicle since 1978. In 1982 I started to maintain the vehicle for him, in 1982 it had 89,000 original miles. This vehicle has been owned by him since 1972. It has always been garaged and has never seen winter months. In 1975 the original engine overheated and seized it was replaced by a 427 engine and transmission from a 1967 Thunderbird. I have checked the numbers on the Aluminum Intake and they translate to a 1967 427 sidewinder intake. The car recently has had new brakes, wheel cylinders, new brake hoses replaced.The Exhaust manifold gaskets have been changed. The gas tank was replaced as well as the fuel line. The fuel line was replaced with Stainless Steel line. This car was purchased from the famous Tasca Ford dealership. In 1988 the car was in a minor accident and one rear quarter panel had to be replaced. It was replaced by an OE quarter panel. The car was repainted then and the convertible top was recovered. Since I have know this car it has only been 2200 miles since 1989. The Interior is all original and has never been redone. It is in excellent condition for its age. This car is the most solid Galaxie I have ever seen. The floors are in great shape the trunk has no holes at all. The Frame is in excellent condition. The motor runs super strong and the transmission shifts fine. There are some minor issues that I have taken pictures of. There is a small ding in the left front fender ( you can see it in the pictures ) there also is a minor scrape of the Chrome by the rear taillight and Chrome ring of the taillight(you can also see this in the pictures). It has a minor transmission leak that appears to be coming from the pan gasket and also a very small leak from a power steering hose. This Car is the best unrestored car you will probably ever have a chance to purchase. Rhode Island does not issue titles for vehicles older than 10 years old so there is no title, I do have the last registration and the state of Rhode Island will provide you with paperwork to register the car out of state. Check with you local DMV to make sure it is acceptable to them. I am selling this car locally and reserve the right to end the auction early. $500.00 deposit within 24 hours of the sale.
