Up for Auction is a 1980 Firebird. This car currently has the spoiler, sport mirrors, hood scoop, and wheel flares for the Trans Am. The body is in very decent shape with minor rust over the driver’s side window which measures lest then a ¼ inch. Front fenders have extractors from a later firebird installed. The hood has rust through on the front edge but since it’s not a true Trans Am hood and is a cut version to fit the scoop a different hood would be recommended, along with the windshield, which has a crack and should also be replaced. This vehicle has a rebuilt Pontiac 301 with less then 300 miles on the rebuild and was tagged and driven up till the first week of April 2011. My intent was to restore but I have too many projects to get to this vehicle. Transmission was rebuilt by AAMCO prior to being taken off the road for the engine rebuild, rear differential was freshened up with new seals, gaskets and oil. Brake system flushed and topped off with new fluid. A true dual exhaust with Thrush Turbo Mufflers installed along with new rear shocks. I can not stress this is not a spray bomb rebuild as the engine was gone through a redone to stock. New alternator, starter, fuel pump, belts, hoses were installed. Vehicle also has new tires. Interior is rough but I will include a set of black new reproduction door panels , as I was planning on changing the interior. The Tach , clock and gauges do not function except the fuel gage and speedometer, which are in working order.This vehicle would make a very good project for someone or an excellent parts vehicle to help finish your restoration.
