Vehicle Detail

I bought this 1987 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme in July 2007 from a gentleman near St. Louis, MO, and had it shipped to Los Angeles. It appeared to have sat under a car cover for sale for many months. The engineis the 5 liter 307 V8 with four barrel carb. with a three speed automatic transmission. It had 36,748 miles on it when I took delivry and since then I have driven it 2,500 miles merely to keep it running well. Since I took possession of it I had the following service and repairs done: 08-01-07 new B. F. GOODRICH, RADIAL T/A; 08-13-07 front disk pads, engine mounts, front shocks; 08-20-07 front wheel alignment; 08-30-07 tape deck repair; 09-16-07 muffler, catalytic converter; 12-10-07 oil pan gasket, valve cover caskets, A/C drive belt, trany service; 03-05-08 body paint; 10-03-08 carb rebuild, throttle position sensor, PCV valve & grommet, float assembly, M/C solenoid, choke pull off; 02-23-09 rear shocks; 04-03-09 turn signal lever; 05-02-10 head liner. The oil is changed every 2 or 3 months to keep out contaminants. It starts and drives like a new car and is a pleasure to drive. The transmission shifts sharly with no slip. All the guages and lights work properly. The cruise control works as it should. There is no rust on this Cutlass. It looks beautiful in the new paint whick is a shade lifhter than the gorgeous light green sage of the landau top and makes the top stand out handsomely. The carpet shows no wear. On a scale of 10 this Culass is an 8. Since I bought this Cutlass is has been kept in my garage and never driven in the rain or wet streets. The doors close easily and firmly, no sag. The windows close completely, now wind noise. The rubber seals around the doors and trunk have been treated rgularly and are supple. The door lock, mirrors, and windows are all manual. The A/C blows cold and the original AM/FM radio and the tape deck work great. There are some minor cigarette burns on the drivers sear and some barely discernable hail dents on the roof and hood. The steering wheel has some minor sun damage cracks. The power antenna is frozen un the UP position. The dash is damaged on some corners as though someone had kicked them.. I've tried to show them in the pictures. I've repaired the with plumbers' epoxy but it's not a very smooth job. The plastic cover of the drivers door post has also been damaged from having the door slammed on it. I repaired this also with plumbers' epoxy. I'm selling this Cutlass in order to buy a different car. I will keep the car garaged for up to 30 days after full payment is received in order that the buyer has sufficient time to arrange pickup. A $500 non-refundable deposit must be received by me within 3 days after the end of the auction; and balance ;must be received within 7 days after the end of the auction. Cash, money order, or personal check will suffice; no Paypal. Personal checks must clear the bank before possession is transferred. Shipping is at the buyer's ex;ense. The Cutlass must be paid in full before it is released.
