According to http://www.vettefacts.com/C4/1987.aspx there were only 98 convertibles built in 1987 with RPO color 69U in Dark Beige Metallic, and that included those with black soft tops and graphite interiors. So there's a very good probability that this very rare 1987 convertible could be one of less than 50 originals. I took vehicle in for the once over last year to the local Chevrolet Dealership here in Rapid City. At that time they replaced the water pump and I had them pull the original FM/Cassette Player out and send it in to be rebuilt. Those were the only things that needed to be done. I bought this car two years ago with the intent to hang on to it for another 10 years. Unfortunately that great master plan didn't work out.
