I have for sale a beautifully restored 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 two door. This car was restored a few years ago and has just been stored in a garage for the last couple years. The previous owner restored this car and took it to a few local car shows after his retirement unfortunatly he passed a couple of years ago and the car was just put back in the garage and covered up. The owners thought that that car should be shown and driven as that is what it was restored to do. This car was restored to original and looks very good. The paint shines well and the body looks good as shown in the photo's. It was painted back the original colors and the trim was polished up at that time. Some of the emblems were replaced but the originals were saved and are in the trunk and included in the sale. The car comes with the manuals as well and lots of new and used parts that were saved and are in the trunk. This car was air conditioned but the underdash unit was missing when restored. They bought a unit and it will be included as well. The engine is the original 292 V/8. It was pulled and rebuilt during the restoration and was estimated to have less than 5000 miles on it. The automatic transmission is still intact and shifts well. The interior has been reupholstered in an original style. The seats, carpet, door panels, headliner were all redone and the dash was painted. The interior looks very well. The weatherstripping was replaced at the same time. All of the lights, turn signals, brakes, horn, ect work as they should. The windshield wipers are vaccum operated and leave a little to be admired but are complete and work I would probably change this to an electric setup if i were going to keep it but it was being put back as close to original as he could. The car has like new tires. It has a spare tire with matching hubcap, and the trunk has a reproduction factory trunk mat. All of the extra parts and manuals are in the trunk and are included in sale. Overall this is a very nice car that is already done. It is ready to show and enjoy on those cruise nights. It may not be perfect but shows very well.
