Vehicle Detail

This is a great looking, great running Vintage pickup. If you like old trucks, especially clean, dependable, nice driving old trucks with all the plush to make for a comfortable ride, then this is the truck for you. The truck went through a ground up restoration in 2006, to be reborn as a dependable 3/4 ton work truck that could be driven every day. A mildly built 350 was installed with an RV cam, Edelbrock RPM intake manifold, Edelbrock 650 4 barrel carb, ceramic coated headers, custom finned aluminum valve covers, K&N Air filter, electric fuel pump, fuel regulator, etc. etc. After that, a turbo 350 transmission with custom frame mounted finned tranny cooler was installed, as well as a Lokar floor shifter and a late model Chevy Dana 60 3/4 ton rear end to cap off the drive train. Also, the truck also has power steering, power brakes, and back-up lights. The body has been repainted a light milk chocolate brown, using a modern 2 stage paint mix. This is topped off with very tasteful pinstripping, all new chrome and stainless, finished with new glass, rubbers, and interior. The interior is ALL LEATHER! Headliner, padded dash, door panels, upholstry - all leather. Even the interior door handles are leather. It's a very comfortable truck to drive around in. The gages are a custom set made by Beede for that vintage look, and a full set at that, including tach. The wiring is all Painless, so no worries about electrical issues. There is a new high dollar Panasonic AM-FM Stereo CD Player. The heater and defroster work great, and to top it off, there is Vintage Air that blows ice cold. The body is very straight or should I say curvy? Like most 1952 vehicles, this one has big round fenders and a big curved hood. There is a set of new vintage amber fog lights, including the must have bullet spotlight. Split windows in front, shaded by a period correct set of visors for that desirable vintage look. The truck comes from the southwest, and I have been told that in 1952, most of the split window trucks built and sold for the desert were not ordered with the rear corner windows; that helped keep the interior just a bit cooler. But now this truck has air conditioning. Also, because it has spent its life in the hot, dry sunbelt, there is NO RUST on this truck! The bed has solid wood slats in very good condition, covered with a tan tonneau cover to protect the bed and anything you may be hauling. There is a matching tan cover for the side mounted spare tire, also. The truck has a heavy duty 3/4 frame and is also equipped with a heavy duty 2" receiver in back. It was restored to use as a daily driver, so all the important needs for a working man are here, including trailer brakes. The tires are Cooper HTRs, LT235/85R16s, in very good shape that are accessorized by beauty rings and Baby Moons. I purchased the truck about a year ago from an insurance company. It had sustained front driver's side damage, which I have had repaired. The front driver's side fender, bumper, and headlight were replaced. The frame has been straightened, but it is not perfect. For this reason, the truck will have a branded title. You can transfer it in any state in the union, drive it, get insurance on it - anywhere. What the brand does is let any future owners know that there was damage to this vehicle at one time, no matter how well the repair work was done. For that reason, I have set the price of the truck at less than half of it's true value. The truck drives down the road very nicely, doesn't pull, stops nice and straight. If you are looking for a fun driving truck to use for work, or impress your friends with, take to car shows - you can even tow your Trailer Queen with it - or just look cool at the burger joint, this truck's for you! PLEASE EMAIL ME WITH ANY QUESTIONS! I am happy to talk with you in person. You are welcome to come see the truck in person before you bid. If you are local, or know someone local, I encourage you to make the drive - it's well worth seeing! DO NOT BID UNLESS YOU INTEND TO BUY!!! If you have NO FEEDBACK or NEGATIVE FEEDBACK, contact me BEFORE you bid, otherwise your bid may be retracted. Pleaes email me with any questions.
