Up for auction is my 1976 BMW 2002. this car has just finished a total exterior/interion restoration, consisting of the following: Car was stripped of all exterior and interior parts including all trim, bumpers, lights, door handels, interior parts, seats, carpets, side panels, console, all glass, everything. Car was then painted with BMW Polais paint by the Souths renowned Crabtrees auto body. Car was stripped down to bare metal, inside and out. Rust issues in the floor boards and spare tire well was cut out and replaced with 16 guage steel panels. Interior floor was then undercoated, sound proofed with dyna mat, and 1/4" padding. New navy blue carpet was then installed. All interior was recovered in navy blue and new rear parcel shelf was installed. All wiring was inspected and found to be in good shape. Door panels were removed, window mechanics were adjusted, greased. Clear plastic moisture bearer was installed, along with 5" high density foam behind the rear side panels, for sound proofing. New windshield was installed, right after a new headliner was put in place. All seals under hood were replaced as were door and quarter window seals. All BMW seals not after market seals, which are junk and never fit right. New upgraded door brakes were installed, along with new interior dome light. Engine and trans perform great and did not need attention, other than replacing fluids oil, tran, and diff. Really did not need this, but car was down for approx. and year and a half for restoration and I wanted it done. New Panasports along with new michelins were installed. Shocks were fine so I did not replace. Steering box was adjusted and drives nice and tight. Car pulls well through all gears, and drives like a new one. Also replaced windshield washer pump, installed Alpine am/fm/ cd along with Advent speakers behind the seats. New AC console was installed, but compressor and plumbing has not been installed, but comes with the car. I will also supply all the ac wiring along with a Behr installation guide. My reason for not installing this is 2 fold. First, some people don't want ac, depending on which part of the country they live, plus I've been told I have severe arthritis in my hands, { like I allready knew this. LOL} Anyway if you are looking for a turnkey 02, this is a beauty.
