Swift Brothers Classic Trucks 1987 Chevrolet Silverado 4x4 You are bidding on a fully restored frame-off restoration brought to you by Swift Brothers Classic Trucks. This truck started out with a flawless North Carolina 2wd body. We had a nice 4wd truck but the body was not so good so the two became one a few months ago. Everything on the truck was finished to factory spec by professionals. The only way you can tell that the 2wd body was used is by the VIN # having a C instead of a K in it. Most people would not know unless this was pointed out to them, as the 2wd and 4wd bodies are the same. The title is a clear North Carolina title so there are no problems with it. This truck is fully loaded with all power options. Power Windows Power Locks Cruise Control Tilt Steering Air Condition The truck is pretty much new from top to bottom. Lots of NOS parts were used in this build. All trim and emblems are brand new NOS not aftermarket, which you don’t see often. The only thing that is not factory spec is the 2” lifted springs, which are brand new as well. The full under carriage was painted with a fresh coat of chassis black. The body received an awesome Apple Red base coat / clear coat paint job all over. The paintwork was so good that we didn’t even have to wet sand or buff it and it looks like glass. The engine is a Fuel Injected 350 crate motor with only 10,000 miles. The transmission is a low mileage 700R4 automatic that shifts excellent. This truck is geared 3:73 and really runs out good on the road. We also just installed a new set of dual Flowmaster Exhaust on the truck from the heads back. Only in 1987 Chevrolet changed the 5th diget of the vin # to a V for 4wd trucks and a R for 2wd trucks. In our listing I have the 2wd as a C and the 4wd as a K. The 5th diget of the vin on 1981-1986 trucks are listed as a C or K. This may be true for even older models. Sorry for the mix up.
