I have to sell my beautiful and much loved 1951 MG TD roadster. This car is British Racing Green with tan ( biscuit ) interior. It had a ground up restoration including a rebuilt engine at 62,692 miles ( I have the photos of this work and receipts ), it now has only 63,632 miles. I have all the history of the vehicle and have been the owner for 8 years. The prior Oregon owner had the car from 1961 until I bought it in 2003 ! In the photos there is a poignant history of this vehicle from the last owner. This is an all original car with an excellent restoration. I do not involve myself in car shows and so on but it's a real beauty in superb shape. We did take it in 2008 to the Forest Grove Concourse in Portland, Oregon, but just to show it not to enter the competition ( They wanted us to, they thought it would win it's category ! ). We have probably driven this car only about 300 miles since our ownership of 8 years. It has been kept in a heated garage. Hopefully you can see the serial numbers in the photos. In the restoration the headlights, front grille and engine valve cover and air filter housing were chromed as you can see in the photos. It has a new convertible top and new side curtains, also the original owner's manual. On the internet cars of this quality are ranging from $28,500 to $34,500 so I am pricing low for these tough economic times. PS I have been asked to confirm that all the numbers on this vehicle are correct and original, including the engine number. I have put a couple of more photos on the ad to show that this is so, including the original engine number on the engine block. Here are all the vehicle numbers, Body Type 22381, Body Number 8249 7304, Car Number 8842, Engine Number 8858. I have given the impression that I have done nothing to the car during my ownership, sorry. I just went through my bills over the years. I had the brakes rebuilt ( Not sure why that was needed ! ), Carbs rebuilt, new front crankshaft seal and other gaskets, new hoses, new stainless steel exhaust from the UK, rebuilt wiper motor and service as needed. It has not needed anything for a long time.
