Vehicle Detail
Moving sale, time to clean out the garage. 1993 Suzuki GSX-1100G for sale. Oil and air-cooled inline 4 cylinder, 1100cc, 5 speed transmission, approx 95HP, shaft drive. Bought it stock at 7K miles to do roadtrips. Upgraded it for highway cross country travel. Currently has 15K miles. All upgrades took place at the 7K mark. Progressive front springs, new fork seals and fork fluid, new plugs, Metzlers, new brake pads, crash bars and highway pegs, all fluids changed, Corbin Gunfighter and Lady saddle (used, with small tear, small backrest and I still have the original saddle), GSXR adjustable shock added to the rear, DynoJet Stage 1 jetkit and K&N filter (have original carb parts as well), valve adjustment at 8k miles, PlexiStar 2, new set of valve cover gaskets for the next valve adjustment. Some orange peel on plastic parts (front fender and right side plastic) where the previous owner let it sit out in the sun too long, missing the petcock plastic switch on the side. Chrome pipes in pretty reasonable shape, some rust on inside of exhaust at the very tip. Tires probably half worn. Now the bad news. The bike appeared to have some sort of progressive float issue the entire time I owned it. After the new carb parts went in it would run fine for a year, and then slowly develop a flooding condition in one of the inner cylinders. Back to the shop and everything was reset again, and it ran fine for another year. On its last trip to Phoenix it was getting 40-42 mpg depending on speed, but again gradually developed this flooding condition, and I put it away in the garage. After sitting for 2 years it turns over fine, but doesn’t want to start after sitting for so long. I’m through messing with it, this bike would be great for a fixer-upper if someone wants to work out the carb issues, or could be parted out. Sold as-is. Pickup by the afternoon of May 15 in Lakewood Colorado. Payment: Cash/Cashier Check Clear title. More pictures available upon request.
