Vehicle Detail
Greetings, and thanks for viewing! You are bidding on the the 2nd model year (2003) production of the Lexus hardtop convertible. I am losing a car I still love, but must sell because I recently welcomed a second child. The indigo blue exterior and saddle leather interior are the best looking combo and in great shape. You may have already noticed the OEM wheels are off the 2007 SC430, which are universally regarded to be better looking than 2003 “dinner plate” factory wheels. The factory runflat tires have also been upgraded to standard tires, including a spare and jack, benefiting you with not only a smoother ride, but also much lower replacement cost than runflats. Despite the mileage on this California vehicle, the exterior and interior still look great. Receipts for all maintenance I’ve had done are included with this car, as is a clear title showing no liens. Standard features include a 4.3L V8 with plenty of power, factory navigation, steering wheel audio controls, heated leather seats, tilt/telescoping wheel. Extras and upgrades I’ve had professionally installed since purchasing this vehicle at 70,000 miles in 2006 include: The Luxlink module, which allows you to warm/cool the interior by starting the engine remotely with the keyfob. Push a different sequence on the keyfob, and you can command the top to close/open from a distance! Daizen suspension components, installed by the chief engineer for Daizen himself. The stiffer sway bars reduce body roll in cornering much better than the factory sway bars, making for a better cornering experience. Polyurethane bushing upgrades in the suspension arms and steering rack also help the car respond less “boat-like” to road bumps than do the rubber factory bushings. Hidden receiver for hitch-mounted bike rack. This feature is easily removed (and the rear plate reattached) if you’d rather be without it. Flip down the rear license plate for a lockable bike rack to slide into the rear bumper, and you can carry your bike(s) without wrecking the paint. I am open to including the bike rack I’ve used with this vehicle to the winning bidder. NOTE: No towing! You’ll rip the bumper off if you try to pull a trailer. I do think this car should last you another 100k miles, because as maintenance records show, I’ve taken great care of it. In addition to ritual 5,000-mile oil changes: Serpentine belt was replaced at 75k miles, 90k (18k miles ago) service included timing belt, water pump, lower ball joints, rear brakes replaced, 95k (13k miles ago) replaced front brake pads and rotors, oxygen sensor, 105k service: tie rods replaced, transmission fluid flush, differential flush, and the original engine mounts were replaced 2,000 miles ago. In the unlikely event that I receive an offer I can't refuse, I may terminate the auction before it closes. Vehicle will be available locally for inspection by the winning bidder (unless the deposit or balance deadline is missed). If winner chooses not to complete transaction, the deposit is still non-refundable, and the transaction will not go forward, and neither party shall leave feedback on the other. I can take the balance via PayPal if payer agrees to cover the PayPal fee. Otherwise, I’ll need to meet the winning bidder at a bank to get cashier's check (I need to see it being issued), or wire transfer. No financing is available via seller. Do not bid if you will not have the funds available in time. LA area pickup only. I will drop at LA area vehicle shipper if funds received, however any shipping is your responsibility. Feel free to post any questions. Thanks again for your interest. You won’t be disappointed in owning this car!
