1994 Honda CBR1000F Hurricane Thanks for your interest in my CBR1000. I bought this bike from the original owner, who had wrecked it a few thousand miles after purchasing it. He kept it around, untouched for years, decided to repair and repaint the damage and ride it. After riding it, he decided it wasnt for him and sold it to me. I bought it last summer with 4700 miles. The bike has just under 6100 miles on it. I took it out of storage and rode to the gas station, and before I made it back home the bike stalled out on me. I got it restarted and it died again a half mile down the road. I got it back home and haven't messed with it all week, and decided to sell it to someone who can give it the attention it needs. I rode it up the street and it seems to run fine, I don't know if it has some water in the gas or a loose wire, but I don't trust it without checking it over. The bike has several flaws. The previous owners paintwork is less than perfect. It looks great until you get up close, where it has a bad case of orange peel and a few runs. The bike has the famous CBR1000 Hurricane chain rattle when its cold. Ive been told its common for them and not an issue by the local honda shop. I never worried about it. The brake light switch on the foot brake needs adjustment or repair, It no longer activates the brake light. Last year I fitted brand new Michelin Pilot Road tires front and back, as well as a new Vance and Hines exhaust system to replace the old corroded system. Tires are in excellent shape and the exhaust system looks and sounds great. Brakes work well, the transmission shifts like new and the clutch is smooth. All gauges and warning lights work. I'm hoping this bike goes to a hurricane enthusiast, I know there are many out there. I'm starting the auction low with no reserve.
