Vehicle Detail

This is an early diecast 750K0,build date 11/69. As such it has most of the features unique to the sandcast engine model. The sandcast motors ended at #1007415. This has engine #1013498, making it the 6,083rd diecast. Early features include: double cut front fender, wider front wheel hub,"8" bolts throughout, wrinkle tank, and uniquely contoured rear wheel rim. Other more obvious features can be seen in the photos. The seat is original and in excellent condition with no rips, tears ,or seam separations. The bike as a whole is in excellent shape-there is no significant rust,no dings or dents,no scratches in the paint. The motor starts right up requiring only momentary choke activation. It does not smoke. It has great compression and great power. The original "300"mufflers are in very good condition with no rust, and only 1 tiny ding in one lower muffler. The top left muffler has some small acid stains. It shifts through all 5 gears smoothly with excellent clutch engagement. Everything works as it should including the brakes. The front caliper was just cleaned and a new seal and pads installed. The tires are nearly new and still have the rubber nibs. I have owned this bike since the year 2000. I am selling because I am thinning my collection. I am pushing 70 and no longer have the energy to maintain my herd of Hondas. Since owning it I have done a steady progressive restoration on it with the intention of making it a good rider. No attempt was made to make it a show bike-not my style. Therefore, as nice as it is it still has things I have not gotten to. I will get to those things in a moment. First, what it has had done are; new fork seals, new front brakes. The tank, headlight ears and bucket have been repainted using ColrRite model specific paint. The repainted parts had sun fading but were not damaged. The airbox and side covers are original paint. The sidecovers are simply too close to mint to repaint. The color match is very good but not absolutely perfect. The things I have not gotten to: the po chromed the valve cover and I never got around to changing it out. There is some pitting in the chrome, most of it beneath the tank where it is not seen. The airbox has a few small cracks. I have a spare which has been repaired and fiberglass reinforced but it is not finished yet. The new owner is welcome to it.The left handle bar switch is a nos K1 item. I have the original switch but it needs rewiring and it is also included. The oil drain plug has been bunged up since I got the bike. At that time I dropped the oil pan, cleaned the sump and replaced the pan. I have changed the oil annually(less than 1000 miles a season) by draining and refilling the oil tank. That's about it. Feel free to ask questions if you think I missed anything. Extra items that go with the auction sale are the tool kit,the original owners manual, workshop manual, handlebar switch and extra seat. That seat was my regular rider seat . The original was too nice to use regularly so I had an old seat and had it reconstructed. It came back from the upholsterer missing one piece of side trim and that was never resolved but I have used the seat as is anyway. Also, a sheet of factory warning/info labels is included. The winning bidder is required to post a $500 non-reundable deposit with paypal. The balance must be paid with a certified check within 10 days and the bike picked up within 2 weeks of auction close unless other arrangements are made. The check must clear the bank before the bike is released. The buyer is resposible for all shipping costs, including the extras. The buyer is resposible for shipping arrangements but I will help in any way I can. Please feel free to ask questions. Please refer to the photos for details.
