Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my 1979 International Scout Traveller (118" wheelbase vs 100" on Scout). It's all original with around 86,000 miles. It has factory A/C which blows cold and strong, the 345 V8 and 4 bbl carb, automatic transmission and 4WD. It's a daily driver for my wife and we love it, if we weren't moving we wouldn't be selling. The Scout performed great in the winter we had here in North Dakota and trust me, that's saying a lot! It'll be a great summer vehicle too with the cold A/C or just remove the top. It has the normal rust for a scout, right in front of the back wheels, it also could use a tune up which had I been keeping it I would normally do after the snow melts. As for what needs to be repaired, the gas guage only shows half full, it probably needs a new float, the oil pressure guage isn't working, I assume it needs a new sender and the driver's seat has a rip and some padding missing on the outside from years and years of getting in and out of it. The last owner kept it in his garage for the past 12 years and only used it as his fishing truck a few times a year. I also keep it in the garage but my wife drives it daily in town carting kids around and getting groceries, I've taken it to Montana a few times and at 70mph on the hwy it rides just as smooth and straight as my 2009 Chevy p/u. Even in -40 weather it never failed to start or left my wife stranded! It's a great truck, would make a KILLER project (and if you change out any of the original parts you can sell them easily) and I think I'm asking a fair price. I can even deliver it, for a fee of course, anywhere between North Dakota and Louisiana! I reserve the right to end the auction early as it's for sale locally and I require $500.00 down via PayPal within 24 hours of auction close with full payment in the form of a cashiers check, CASH IN MY HAND, or personal check (sale not final untl check clears) to follow not less then 3 days from auction end. It must be removed or planned to be delivered before April 20th, 2011. Thanks for Looking and good luck bidding!!
