this car started out as a 1929 Model A Tudor sedan. I chopped the body 7 inches, sectioned 2 feet out of the back window and moved the back of the body forward to look like an extended cab pick up. The body was tack welded and riveted back together using copper rivets. The bed is off a 1946 Dodge pick up truck that I shortened 5 feet and narrowed 14 inches. It was all put back together using the same tack weld and rivets. The body and bed are bare metal that I scuffed using a scotch brite pad and I oil it down with WD-40 about once a month. Yhe pinstriping was done by Dexter and Ron Meyers and Lady Luck on the tunnel was done by Foster. The Frame is custom made using 2 x3 tubing. It has 24 1/2" of drop in the rear and a 13" Z in the front. The Front Axle is a suicide style 4" drop with a 4-link TCI front end and a Super Bell axle. It has disc brakes up front and a vega steering box.The rear end is a '79 GM 10 bolt with posi. which is also using a 4 link suspension with panhard bar. Riding on Gennie Bear wheels, 15 x 5 in the front and 15 x 8 in the rear.With 10 x 15 Firestone cheater slicks. The motor is a 350 out of a '91 Chevy pick up truck with Offy intake and trip rochesters. The valve covers are faux Olds rocket type. It has a muncie 4 speed manual transmission with a new clutch. It also has a custom made aluminum radiator to fit into the original grill shell. The original steering wheel and headlights were used. The interior has Kirkey aluminum racing seats. This is a tough car that will get lots of attention on the road and at shows!! Featured in old Skool Rodz #16. Took best in class at the 2006 Chicago world of wheels and was also Old skool rodz "rod of choice" at the same show. The car is also featured in the hard cover book "Anatomy of a hot rod" by Doug Mitchell . The car starts runs and drives beautiful. It comes with a clear 1929 title. All the work was professionally done!! It does ride low.. you can take it anywhere, but watch out for speed bumps, a rough road is a rough ride.
