***PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!*** I have relisted this with all corrections so as to have no "grey" areas or questions!..This is NOT a "salvage" vehicle!..Ebay would only list it this way!.This S500 has a clear title! Read below! MERCEDES S500 Coupe . All original!. Runs like NEW! Here is the history on this S500 Coupe. My Dad (just turned 74) was an Attorney who specialized in international arbitration. Because of this speciality he frequented Europe where he fell in love with "BIG" Mercedes-Benzes. In December 1994 his Law firm purchased this Benz for him. Approximately 6 months later a "mechanic" who worked for the Mercedes service center he used, "disappeared" with this S500 when it was brought in for a service and it was reported stolen. Three months later it was recovered with no damage other than about 100 more miles on it. The thief stated to the police he was going to export the Benz to the Middle-East. Nevertheless ,prior to this time, the Insurance company had already payed out the loss to my Dad's firm. Well, in NYS after a loss is payed out, a vehicle is issued a branded title, thus the history report. This Benz was NEVER EVER Wrecked!..It was a stolen and recovered vehicle!..If this bothers you, please don't bid!.THIS BENZ DOES NOT HAVE A SALVAGE TITLE! The only refinishing this car ever had was the hood and front bumper cover area! Here is more information: After many years of looking for this Benz, my dad was able to find it through a Mercedes dealer friend. He then re-purchased it in 1999 when it had 17550 (see photo) on it. It was in excellent condition with the exception of several electricial issues. Dad then had the entire car gone over and replaced the entire wiring harness. He used this Benz mostly for local drives as he was semi-retired by 1999. In 2008 he built and moved in to his dream home and parked this Benz and there it sat! Dad gave me the car in summerl 2009 and I brought it up to the country here. I Then went over the entire car mechanically and replaced many original parts! It has been garaged since. I was planning on keeping it in the family. I have run out of garage space! What is new: 1) Distributor Caps (2) and Rotors(2) 2) Plugs (Bosch Platinum) and plug wires 3) K&N lifetime air filters (2) 4) Cabin air filter 5) Fuel filter 6) Vacuum pump (Door locks/self closing doors.trunk/infra-red alarm) 7) Mobil 1 synthetic oil and mahle filter 8) Complete radiator flush with new coolant 50/50 added. 9) Drivers seatbelt retractor. (used) 10) Four New Goodyear Eagle GT Tires (18") (The original alloys come with the car!-see photo) 11) AMG wheels and new center caps 12) Chrome lug nuts (total wheel costs: $1302.00) The only remaining attention that this Benz still needs is: 1) Drivers rear seat headrest in up posiition (motor works) 2) Drivers front seat headrest does not go up (motor works) 3) Radio missing a button (see photo) 4) rear shocks/struts "bounce" (original) 5) Pass headlight assembly loose 6) Transmission has very slight hesisitation when shifting into 3rd gear? 7) Center console wood split (see photo) 8) SRS light on (needs reset after seatbelt retractor install) 9) A/C works but needs a recharge. My Dad said he recharged it every spring! I am the 3rd owner on the car fax (Campbell Hall) after buying the Benz back from my buddy (owner 4-Washingtonville) who lost his garage space. The self-closing doors and all the windows and switches work as new. This car has most of all the original paint with only the front hood and bumper ever being refinished. It has no rust and the interior leather is in good condition. It does have a few "dings" here and there. Some scratches and scuffs an the bumpers. It is NOT a show car. It is certainly in very good condition for a 1995 Benz! This is not a "show car" nor is it in "mint" condition hence the low REALISTIC buy it now price! Any questions, feel free to email me. i will try to answer back asap! I have explained everything as open and honest as possible. I will keep the Benz garaged until a shipper is located as long as the car is PAID-IN-FULL. I will NOT release it until ALL funds have cleared.
