Vehicle Detail
Up for bid is this stunning 1967 Triumph TR6R custom chop. This bike has been a 3 year labor of love. The motor has been rebuilt from the crank on up, and has about 3 miles on it since its rebuild. All parts that you see black such as the frame, taillight bracket, front end, foot rests etc have been powdercoated wet black. The gas tank is the original, painted with Sikkens orange crush over black and the clear coat on it including the rear ribbed fender has pearl suspended in it.The covers, such as the primary kicker cover, timing cover and rocker boxes have been chromed by Browns!! Custom one-off parts such as the solid brass oil feed, solid brass MCM style rocker caps and solid brass points cover were made by me on my CNC mill. It also has a solid brass kick pedal and solid brass gas cap(both nautical stars) The styling strip on the gas tank is also solid brass. The handlebars are also one-off with solid brass riser caps as well. The front end was lowered 2 inches and has a 21 inch wheel up front with stainless steel spokes laced to the original front brake hub. The rear wheel is a 16 inch and has a chrome hub laced to the original rear with stainless steel spokes too.The front tire is a Avon speedmaster and the rear tire is a Shinko. The bike also has custom pinstriping on the headlight, oil/battery tank, frame and UNDERNEATH THE GAS TANK!! To keep with Triumph tradition, The taillight is also a Lucas sitting on a custom made taillight bracket.I also put a Boyer electronic ignition in it for ease of starting and reliability. No stone has been left unturned on this beauty!! I also added Chopper Shox to the custom made leather seat as well as custom stainless steel steel fender struts to the rear fender. Not shown in the pictures...I also shortened and re-routed the throttle cable. The stock cable I purchased was actually 4 inches longer. I also forgot to mention that the bike has matching frame and motor numbers with a clear title and the hardtail is a David Bird with a 4 inch stretch and 2 1/2 inch drop. TT pipes run under the frame and are slash cut again, for a custom look! Good luck bidding On Apr-08-11 at 14:42:58 PDT, seller added the following information: The bike has also been featured and seen on Chop Cult, BIKE EXIF, Webrides TV, Lowbrow Customs Blog, Auto and Car News and Cyril Huze Blog including many other websites!!!!!
