Hello muscle car collectors! Here is a real rare beauty which I found locally- 1971 Dodge Demon coupe in Plum Crazy with bucket seats, a big strong 360cu engine, and manual 4speed transmission . Everything you want in a muscle car! VERY POWERFUL & HEALTHY ENGINE! DRIVES GREAT!!! Drive home with confidence! I am long time admirer/collector of 1930's-1950's classic cars not muscle cars, I do not normally look for them but when I came across this car and it was local find=that made it an easy decision to buy it. It is in such great condition and so solid and beautiful! It belonged to a fellow in his 50's(adult owned and well maintained) I bought it on the spot and the owner was nice enough to drive the car about 30 miles to my home. I have since drove it about 25 miles just to try it and it is VERY exciting and alot of fun to drive, VERY powerful and fast! It has the large and powerful 360 engine with a Edlebrock carburator, Hurst shifter, functional hood scoops, racing hood pins, buckets seats, great suspension, spoiler, mag wheels, and likely some other hot rod things that you muscle car guys enjoy and ofcourse the most beautiful factory color available in the muscle car era: the Mopar Plum Crazy purple! I don't know if it is a special faster rear end, but it sure moves when you step on the gas in 1st or 2nd (you can feel some g-forces just with my old man driving style, maybe it is fast enough to race- but I do not know. I really never drive fast and I would never burn rubber but I am sure it could!) It has nice vintage chrome Cragar SS super sport wheels & spare. Larger & wider in rear. Original Shoulder & lap safety belts. The Dodge Demon is a RARE car, especially with bucket seats and a more desirable 4 spd. from research I know that they were only produced for 2 years 1971 & 1972 and it was the Church groups that made Chrysler stop using the name Demon and using that little devil character! It is quite similar to the Challenger and the Plymouth Duster, based on the Dart. A true Mopar muscle car! Not many Dodge Demon's were produced and I do believe that it is the more deluxe edition, and perhaps the "Demon 340" package, it has the more deluxe door panels, I do not know it's history before this fellow. What I do know is that it is a very BEAUTIFUL & ready to drive car as you can see in the photos; she runs and drives excellent and you can safely drive it home! The interior is really superb (nearly perfect) the bucket seats,rear seat (look & feel like leather? and in like new condition), door panels, headliner, carpet are all like new! The trunk is great condition and has a Cragar SS spare tire and all of the original tools & jack in proper place. The engine compartment is clean enough to eat from, and it has some nice chrome. There is a secret security kill switch for safety. I always recommend potential buyers come to see the car in person or send a representative (if possible) as I am selling the car AS-IS, WHERE IS, it is 40 years old and certainly in great shape. I see no reason that could not get in and drive it home, but I will assist you with transport arrangements if you are long distance. And I have not seen another for sale in Plum Crazy Purple, which is the best color for the color! Everyone stares and loves this car, girls, guys old & young they all have complimented this car! I honestly think that the buyer will love the car and a have a great time driving it!
