Vehicle Detail
You are viewing a Sonic Blue (this is a 2001 and 2003 Ford Mustang color) 1987 Mustang LX Hatch equipped with the 5.0 liter V8 and BRAND NEW (Less than 2000 miles) 5 speed T5 transmission. I purchased this car in 2005 for my summer vehicle, and drive it on weekends and store it in the winters. This car has been garaged and covered since I purchased it. If you run a CARFAX report, you will notice that this car has been titled in Illinois and Wisconsin. It has hardly any options… NO power windows or mirrors. There is still an issue with the new actuators I put in for the door locks, maybe they are backwards or something. They click but nothing happens. I have never locked the doors, nor taken the keys out of the ignition so I do not use them and do not really care. I have deleted the A/C. I used a PRO 5.0 delete pulley for this. Additionally, it was undercoated by the dealer (Ziebart). This car does not leak any fluids and it has never been smoked in, but it does burn a little oil when you get on her. I have not replaced the heads on this car, but I am sure whoever buys it eventually will, so this should not be an issue. ... If you "BUY IT NOW" I will also throw in a spare set of above average stock 10 hole rims... I used them to store the car, rather than get flat spots on the summer tires. I believe I still have a spare pint of paint, so it is a matched color from the paint job. Also, I have assorted trim pieces from the windshield, and rear windows and body side mouldings. If you are a FOX owner, you know how hard good trim and mouldings are to come by. I also have an almost new "PYPES" X pipe, (w/cats). Spare seat frames, and other assorted parts. You can even have the stock upper and lower intake and fuel rails. All these parts alone are worth about $500 to $600. Also, the receipt binder and any/ all paperwork I have goes too. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, PLEASE ASK! If I don't sell it this time around look for it in the local Ebay pages... Car show season is right around the corner, I will be taking it to some of the local Milwaukee/Kenosha shows... feel free to come check it out. Some stains and wear on both seats.Carpet could be replaced. Looks original, which means it is 22 years old.The rear end (Ford 8.8) has stock gears, and the Trac-lok clutches are on their way out. These need to be replaced just as brake pads do. You could buy a rebuild kit,But I would just replace it with an upgraded unit and replace the gears while it was apart. This was definitely on my TO DO list.
