The History: When first purchased new in 1966, the original owner did not use this car as his everyday driver. In the late 60's, this L69 442 started finding its way to the local drag strip on the weekends. During the 40 years he owned it, the only change he made was replacing the 10 bolt rear end to a stronger 12 bolt unit. The car remained stored in his garage until purchased by a local neighbor in 2006, who then professionally rebuilt the engine (he's a retired engineer), replaced the radiator/alternator/exhaust, and spotted in the paint on the roof, and installed new redline radial tires and 15x7 SS I wheels.I purchased this car 3 years ago from the neighbor/second owner.This is one of only 1,170 FACTORY BUILT cars with the very rare L-69 442 Tri-Carb Performance Package.
