1968 AMC Javelin SST , with 22K miles, 290 V8 with automatic transmission. Black on Black . Car was yellow , now repainted Black, Engine was rebuilt , not sure of date, 2 BBL Holley carb , also comes with stock cast iron 4BBL mainfold and correct Carter 4 BBL ( will need rebuilt ). Exhaust was upgraded to duals. Car is 95 percent stock and original , and yes mileage is original . Car is a 7 out of 10. A great weekend driver and head turner, and needs nothing for weekend driving . The defects are : interior , radio is there but does not work ( factory AM radio ), the clock is also inop. The seat padding in the driver's seat is starting to breakup, there is a 1\2 tear in the top of the driver's seat . The drivers arm rest has some cracks . The rubber on the window rail is getting dry rotted . The drivers door has a hair crack in the body work mid section of the door , The top hood trim is missing as is the side trim , and the grille is missing the emblem Small leak ( class one ) leak on the transmission ( pan gasket ) Tires are 80 percent tread , again runs and drives great Has been in storage last 3 years . Car is in storage in Eugene OR area ( moved from Texas due to heat in storage building ) Note : this the third and last time , 1, I did not take payments, 2, I do not deliver 3, and I will not give "warranty " If you want all that go buy a new 68 Javelin for your dealer . The car again is AS IS , your a bidding on a USED 40 old car , not a new one . again if you want a new car BUY a new car . I'm in Houston Texas , not Oregon , I will not fly up so you can " kick the tires " I will fly up to once the car is SOLD . I will not end the bidding early . This a MINT car with 22k miles for a buy it now of 6000.00 where else will you find that ? And last I;m not a AMC car expert , So don't ask me what color the vents are inside , If you need that much info , again call your local AMC dealer or the factory .
