Vehicle Detail

Hello all, I have decided to put my 2004 40th anniversary Carrera for sale. I bought the car here in Seattle at Park Place LTD in September 2010 when I moved from France to the US. I have put about 3000 Miles on the car since I had it. Almost all of those miles were highway miles. This car is unbelievably good. The looks, to begin with, are stunning. The interior and exterior are immaculate. There is not a scratch on the paint (GT silver, only seen on the Carrera GT) or in the inside on the leather. This is N°405 of 1964 made to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the 911. Aker's Porsche Shop in Seattle have helped me install the Alcantara Steering wheel and Gear Knob. We have also installed a 997 Shifter (shorter throw), a Sport Exhaust and a Cold air Intake as shown on the photo. I have all the invoices for that. Mark the owner of Aker's and Bryan at Park Place both know the car real well and can vouch for the conditions of the car. In fact, Mark considers this car to be the nicest 996 he has ever been in: "This car feels like new!" I have personally owned several 996s. I wouldn't say it is a lottery out there, but some are nice... some really aren't, you really have to drive them and inspect them to know. This one is perfect. I bought it to keep it because of its collectible aspect (you won't see them very often). I have however decided to step the game up. I am also selling my daily driver (a 2006 supercharged range rover) and will start the hunt for a nice 997 turbo (or a very nice 993 turbo with low miles). I did not know of the 40th anniversary before I bought it. I initially went to park place and test drove a 996 4S. While I loved the looks of the wide body, I have to say the performance were disappointing. I then drove a 996 turbo and felt it to be a little too digital for me with a strange throttle response. The 997 is nice... I drove one too, but unless you go for a nice S version the performance aren't really stunning either. Bryan at Park Place finally showed me the 40th and explained the differences to me. I immediately loved it and still enjoy it when I can. If you don't know about the 40th anniversary please let me detail the differences with a normal 911: The $21,200 40th anniversary package included exclusive GT Silver Metallic with perforated Natural Charcoal Grey all leather interior. It also supplied the factory X51 Carrera Power Kit that upped output to 345hp with a host of improvements including upgraded internals, reworked heads, a high-flow light weight intake manifold, and stainless steel exhaust system. Other notable features include the Sport suspension, polished light alloy wheels, bi-xenon headlamps, GT3 rocker panels, limited slip, PSM, and exclusive badging including a serial number plaque. This car is further optioned with dual power comfort seats, Bose premium audio, 6CD changer, floor mats, and rear window wiper. I payed 44,000 USD at Park Place for the car in September and the upgrades amount up to more than 4000 USD. Total miles is now 24,500. The car needs absolutely no work done on it. The P-Zeros provide amazing grip even under the rain and are in perfect condition (all wheels look like the one on the picture, not a ding on them). I will do an oil change when it is sold before I deliver it (even if it isn't needed) Please feel free to contact me with any questions and if you are in the greater Seattle area, I would be happy to show you the car. Thank you, Pierre.
