Two California Family owned 1968 Ford Mustang California Special. Originaly bought In the Bay area, it stayed there and in the 80's received a minor restoration using all fomoco parts and retaining most of its original paint. It was past from father to daughter to granddaugther who decided to sell it in 2005. I bought it from my cousin who drove it daily for few months. I had the body completelly disassembled to only the shell, soda blasted clean, body and painted the original ford candy apple red. A full Concourse restoration was done representing the way the car came off the assembly line 40 years ago. Motor profesionaly rebuilt along with auto trans, and rear end. everything has been rebuilt or replaced. With power steering and power disc brakes it is a dream to drive. Only tires, brakes, and shocks,and an aftermarket carbuator are not original for driveablity, but can be easly changed for concouse shows and judging. Have a complete Marti report on the car. Do to the rarity of the California Specials (only 4118 made) this shelby inspired model is perfect for the investor, hobbest, or someone looking to get in the collector car market. These cars some day may bring as much as shelbys are getting today.
