Vehicle Detail
For sale is an '88 Pontiac Firebird that has been converted to a Knight Industries Two Thousand replica inside and out. Please don't waste my time and yours with scams or prank calls. This car sold on Ebay, then after paying for it the buyer simply changed his mind and wants his money back. Needs some body work and paint. Please ask any questions before you purchase, Sale is final. The Good: He is a complete Knight Rider conversion inside and out. Not exactly an authentic replica. Budgetary considerations required, shall we say, some artistic license. He has the custom front bumper cover with the scanning light, correct wheels with hub caps and tail light cover. Inside has the PMD seats as seen in the series, custom 2 tv screen dash with digital gauges. The gauges are different from what were in the show but still give a similar appearance. The screens in the dash are FUNCTIONAL LCD screens that are hooked to a laptop computer within the dash. It shows the computer monitor on the left screen and windows media player comes up on the right screen for videos or visuals when playing music through Media Player. I have moved the headlight switch to the center console for a more accurate look. He has a Sony CD system with a remote on the center console. He left the factory with a 2.8 V6, but has been changed to a 305 4bbl from a 84 Trans Am. I'll give the details to interested buyers. I reupholstered the seats about 5 years ago.I put a new windshield in on 11/16/09. Buyer will get the receipt. The Bad: I had the car painted about 5 years ago, and without going into a lot of detail, the painter did a less than stellar job and the paint has chipped and peeled in several places. I have sanded and repainted the hood, but you can tell it was done by a non-professional with a few spray cans. At least he's all the same color. He has also developed some rust in the rear wheel wells. Should not be a big issue to repair. Sale is as is. Please ask any questions or address any concerns before bidding. The car does currently have a lein on it. A non-refundable deposit of $1500.00 will be due upon end of auction in order to clear the lein. Buyer will receive a copy of the lein release along with the title. Reserve is below the buy it now price. Bid early and often on a truly unique vehicle!!!
