Vehicle Detail

1970 Dodge Challenger project car. This is a non running 318 Auto car with the original drivetrain, interior and sheet metal. The front drivers fender has been replaced and the inner fender on drivers side has some dents and is missing the fender tag. There is rust in this car and it will need its floor pans and trunk pan replaced. There is rust through around rear window and where the factory welds are on the quarter panels. it will need front and rear patch panels for all the fenders, a new front valence and other body work on the rest of the car. The front fenders could be repaired or may be easier to replace. The doors are ok, but the drivers door skin needs some work. Hood, engine bay, trunk lid and trunk sill is in decent shape. The car also needs the rear frame rails replaced which cost around $65. The rest of the frame seems to be in good shape. You will probably spend over $1000 on sheet metal to repair this car the proper way. It is fairly complete, but is missing the rear tail light assemblies, drivers inside door panel, jack assembly and misc. other parts. The motor is not locked up and would probably turn over with some work on the carburator and wiring. The original transmission is present, but have no idea about it's condition. The original seats, dash pad and console are in the car. This is a great starting point for someone that is good at doing body/metal work and a good mechanic. This car has not been alertered and is fairly complete. I have restored 4 Challengers in the past and they are not inexpensive cars to restore. Parts are more expensive than Chevys and harder to find. I got the car as part of a trade and had planned to restore. I put it in primer/sealer to help preserve but am not trying to hide any of the rust or damaged areas. Please remember that this is a project car that will need a complete restoration and you will need to do a lot of work to it before you can get in and drive. IT IS A MAJOR PROJECT. With that said, it is still an original 1970 Challenger and will make a great car for someone. I have 3 other hardtops and a convertible and love these cars. I am putting my resources on restoring a Roadrunner and do not believe I will ever get to this car. This car is located in South Georgia 2 hours South of Atlanta off I-75 or 5 hour drive from Orlando. It will come with a Georgia Bill of Sale and no title. They did not title these cars back then in Georgia. You can use a title service for around $200 or consult your local State DMV to see what you will need to get this car registered. I will help you line up transport and/or load this vehicle. The reserve is low, but I will not disclose it. Please ask any or all questions before bidding. $500 Paypal deposit is due within 24 hours of close of auction. Balance is due within 10 days via money order or cashiers check or cash. Car cannot be picked up until payment has cleared. Please do not bid if you do not want this car. Thank-you for your interest.
