YES THIS IS AN ORIGINAL 1982 MAZDA B2200 DIESEL PICKUP TRUCK WITH PERKINS 2.2L DIESEL ENGINE --I'll get pics up, my computer won't upload them right now-- What a cool old truck, one of the rare 80's Japanese diesel pickups that went to the U.S.A. For all looking, this is an original un-restored dirty work truck thats 29 years old with two hundred and forty four thousand miles.. if you are ok with that then this is a sweet old truck that has a lot of life left in her, this diesel engine will go forever. Warmed up the diesel engine runs great, I drove for 30 miles, truck does over 75mph in 5th gear no problem. It has the typical dents around the body you can see, surface rust (some worse looking areas where bed was left uncoated etc). The body and frame are solid no major areas rusted-through. It has a home-made sunroof that looks good from the inside but ugly just caulked around the outside edge of window on top of truck. Interior is dirty but functional, old seat cover on bench seat. Window crank handle on the drivers window needs fixed, CD player installed, heat works but the knob for fan speed control has issues. Clutch works great, 5-speed transmission with diesel gearing shifts good. The steering is a bit loose but average for the miles of truck, just tie-rod-end components that could be replaced to tighten steering up. Brakes work, not grinding now. Tires are good, maybe 1 has less tread than the other 3. New walmart battery dated March(3)2010. Diesel engine a bit hard to start when its cold out, I'm sure with a tune-up maybe some new glow plugs it will do much better. Oil just changed with an STP oil filter and Mobil Delvac diesel engine oil. Once it starts and let it warm up, its a solid old diesel engine that doesn't miss a beat. When warmed up and running it was leaking diesel fuel just a drop every 10 seconds, from the diesel fuel injection pump/manifold device. Coming right from where the throttle cable connects and that rod goes down into the injection pump, is where fuel coming from.. Probably just a seal or O-ring, you guys know how to fix!
