Up for sale is a very nice 1982 Honda FT500 Ascot single. Good condition Ascot's are getting very hard to find. This bike runs perfect. Has unmolested rare original stock OEM pipe, nice and quiet but with a nice throbbing sound. Starter has been serviced and cleaned, no issues with electric start, works good every time. Ascots came too lean form the factory for emiisions. this bike has the correct modificaiotn of 2 sizes up main jet and one size up pilot jet. The bikle runs so much stronger with correct jetting and no backfiring as with stock lean jetting. Also, I upped the countershaft sprocket fomr a stock 15 tooth to a 17 tooth. As the engine pulls much better, the taller gearing makes the bike a much better street bike able to cruise out 65 nicely where before it was revving a lot with stock lower gearing. The Ascot is a fun light street bike, nimble and the cool thumper power is a lot of fun. This bike needs nothing, cosmeticvally very good, only flaw is on the right side of gas tank scratches from being transported, and minor scratches on one side cover. All instruments, lights work on the bike. Priced to move fast as I am thinning out my collection some.
