Vehicle Detail
Hi, I am selling this truck after storing it for a few years. It belongs to my step father who wants me to sell it and is aware of this listing. About 3 years ago he gave it to me as he does not have the capability to work on it. I intended to fix it up and put a stoker motor in it. My Step Father bought this truck new. At about 200k miles he ha the engine replaced with a new crate engine. About 50k miles later it started running bad and he brought it back to the same people who installed the engine. They told him that the new engine was bad and he needed a new one. He is not mechanically minded at all so he just parked it and bought a new truck. He placed this truck in a barn and that is where it sat until I pulled it out and cleaned it up with intentions of fixing it up. It sat outside my house for a couple of weeks... long enough for my Step Son to run into it with a riding lawn mower causing a dent on the front quarter panel. I soon realized that I would not have the time to deal with the truck. I figured I may at a later date.... the date never came, so we have decided to sell it. We have had a few offers for it over the few years but we wanted to keep it at that time. This truck was babied to say the least. For its age, it is in super condition. The interior is near perfect. The drive train has no problems at all. The engine is in unknown condition. Personally I doubt that it really needed to be replaced after on 50k miles, but it has sat up for a few years. I make no claims that this truck will run in it current state. As far as I know everything, including the paint job is original. The aluminum rims are original from the factory as part of a sport package that Toyota sold at that time. For a 1 or 2 K dollars, this could be a very unique and very sharp looking truck. Even in the barn, some rust began to form because of the Mississippi humidity. I show the rust starting in the pictures. I would love to see this truck fixed up. If you do bid on it, win and fix it up... I really hope you would let me see some pictures of it as I think it would be the talk of the town. Anyway, thanks for looking and I hope you bid... if not, I hope you find what you are looking for.... if you have any questions, just let me know.
