Vehicle Detail
You are viewing a Sonic Blue (this is a 2001 and 2003 Ford Mustang color) 1987 Mustang LX Hatch equipped with the 5.0 liter V8 and BRAND NEW (Less than 2000 miles) 5 speed T5 transmission. I purchased this car in 2005 for my summer vehicle, and drive it on weekends and store it in the winters. This car has been garaged and covered since I purchased it. If you run a CARFAX report, you will notice that this car has been titled in Illinois and Wisconsin. It has hardly any options… NO power windows or mirrors. There is still an issue with the new actuators I put in for the door locks, maybe they are backwards or something. They click but nothing happens. I have never locked the doors, nor taken the keys out of the ignition so I do not use them and do not really care. I have deleted the A/C. I used a PRO 5.0 delete pulley for this. Additionally, it was undercoated by the dealer (Ziebart). This car does not leak any fluids and it has never been smoked in, but it does burn a little oil when you get on her. I have not replaced the heads on this car, but I am sure whoever buys it eventually will, so this should not be an issue. Nothing skimped on.Rust free hatch with Spoiler. Some things that could use some work:Front seats are sagging a little bit, especially drivers side. Some stains and wear on both seats.Carpet could be replaced. Looks original, which means it is 22 years old.The rear end (Ford 8.8) has stock gears, and the Trac-lok clutches are on their way out. These need to be replaced just as brake pads do. You could buy a rebuild kit,But I would just replace it with an upgraded unit and replace the gears while it was apart. This was definitely on my TO DO list.
