This bike does not run, though if you got it started it would run (roughly) so I'm not putting any reserve on the bike. I bought this bike almost 4 years ago, put 2000 street miles on it, and drove it until I found water in the oil! Lots of trouble starting it with that happening and a bad idea to drive it, hey? I talked to a BMW dealer about fixing it and he said it would take an engine rebuild - something I'm not prepared to do. I bought the bike fairly clean, no drops or damage that I could see, and I dropped it twice - once at speed on a dirt road and once going down the driveway (duh). Never been in any collisions, but the oil/water issue is a deal-killer for me so I'm unloading the bike. As you can see, the seat is toast - lots of sun on this bike; there are some deep scuffs, but no broken farings or anything else. Front faring in good shape, electric wire insulation is good, battery dead. As far as I know, everything else on the bike is good but it's an old bike! I certainly never had any trouble with anything until the oil/water issue. A great bike, and I drove it hard and had a blast. I'm not a great and responsible maintenance man, but I don't think that water getting in the oil is something that happened from neglect. dunno. But, as soon as I found it I stopped using it. Expect the kind of wear and tear on this bike that 34,000+ miles and 2000 miles of Pennsylvania back-roads will have on it. This bike is for pickup only. Title is clean.
