Open the door to 1962. This Super Sport Interior is done in Fawn Vinyl. Under the hood is the infamous 409 c.i. QA coded 4bbl. V8 engine rated at 380HP & 420 Ft-Lbs of toque with the 4bbl. carburetor. Options were few and power was plenty. This car is equipped with power steering, a heater, and an AM radio. The interior features factory bucket seating, a center console, and many more Super Sport exclusive features including the SS grab handle, SS badging, and machine-turned dash trim. The exterior showcases good body panel fit and finish throughout. There are minor imperfections and chip touch-ups on close inspection. This machine-turned exterior brightwork was specific for these Super Sport Impalas. The 1962 Impala showcased a modest redesign of the previous year. The iconic triple tail lights were an Impala feature that still makes this one of the most easily identifiable Chevies. These steel wheels and spinner hubcaps are wrapped in whitewall tires. The undercarriage looks to be solid throughout on this collector quality car. A professional cleaning and detail would do wonders for it.
