Vehicle Detail
Here we have a little gem of a car that I have owned for about four years. In that time I have put just over 25000 miles on it.It has served me well, and I am convinced it will do the same for the next owner.Let me start off by saying, this car is in good condition, and I am not selling it because of any problems. In fact it is one of the best cars I have ever had.It starts easy, runs great, gets super gas mileage,( just as the orgional sticker price in the picture says 40-45 MPG.I have even gotten 46 MPG and better on a trip).I replaced the transmission about 3 months ago,and put a new clutch in it because it would jump out of 5ft gear at times.I also replaced the A-arm and ball joint on passanger side for inspection. It has AIR-conditioning that works. The tires on it are the tires that come with it when I bought it,and they still pass inspection. It is very easy on tires.Pa.Inspection is good for a year through march of 2012.Has CD player that sounds good with the 4 speakers in the car.Just changed the oil and filter. It does not burn oil .The compression in all 3 cylinders is about the same around 200.Spare in trunk has never been used along with the jack.Brakes work good.exhaust is good.Has a luggage rack on the trunk,it seems solid and looks good, but I am sure it has it's limits as to how much weight you can strap on it.The lights all work. The interior light must be turned on manualy.Gauges work along with the tachometer. The dash has a crack in it,might be in the picture showing the radio. It is right above it.I have a small toyota motor home with a 4 clyinder motor that I thought I could pull this little car behind. But I never even tried it.That is why it is all set up to be pulled by a motorhome. The tow bar goes with the car.It has a 2 inch cup on it.Like I say it was never used.It would make a perfect set up for the traveler.I reinforced the part that fastened to the car. It's on there good, but it could be taken off.Heat works good. The top has a patch on the side but it does not leak. The back window is good.I have run it in snow and lots of rain as well. The only time water has seeped in was when the wondows were not clear up.Speaking of windows..You have to help them along somewhat to get them all the way up.They don't come off track, they just are a poor set up.In fact I have heard this is a common problem with Metros in general. Also although this car does have a good appearance, and I have had many comments as to how sharp it looks,it does have some surface rust starting.I was thinking about a paint job in the furture if I was to keep it,but I'm sure it will look good for quite some time to come.I did try to get some pictures of the rust.It has 2 or 3 places on the hood where the paint chipped off.I think it shows in the picture on the hood.Although it is only a 3 cylinder it does quite well with no trouble at all with keeping up with traffic. This is only a 2 seater, but you do have a good bit of room for your legs. The reason I am selling the car is because I bought a 4 door metro with the capacity to have 5 people in it as apposed to only 2. If i had not purchased the 4 door I would never sell the convertible, and thats the truth.Thats about it,if I think of anything else I will add it later. If you have any questions call me at (814-746-1263) I will have a reserve on the car,and it may be taken off because of local sale, but not likely. If you will notice I have 100% possitive feedback over the years of buying and selling stuff on E-bay.If you do not have at least 10 purchases with 9 possitive feedback over a period of time don't bid,or I will cancel your bid.If you do not meet that requirement and are still interested in the car, call before bidding to establish some type of verbal rapport . Once again thanks for your interest, and call with any questions .M.C.
