You are purchasing a 1964 Pacific Blue Ford Thunderbird! We purchased this used in 2002 from a local person who did not take great care of her, unfortunately. We immediately had to buy new tires, brakes, and starter. It's a beautiful car, but it does have issues. We love this car, but she's gotten like a very hot girl friend who is just too much of a bitch. This car deserves someone who is either mechanically inclined, or has the time and money to get her right. Don't believe this is the original paint job, but it is the original color. Has some chips and scratches here and there, not TOO noticeable, but should probably be touched up or repainted. Look at all that chrome! Engine is a 390. Had one head gasket replaced right after we got it. It might need the other replaced too. The back Thunderbird logo is only 7 or 8 years old; don't know why it rusted again like the older one. People say those are Crager rims, but previous owner said they are American Racing rims or something like that. One is in the trunk (four total). We replaced the original AM/FM radio with a reproduction AM/FM cassette player, and also added a Kenwood CD changer in the trunk. We've never used the tape player, and a local mechanic somehow disconnected the CD changer and we've never reconnected it. Same mechanic also lost five of the chrome lug nuts. There is only ONE speaker in the front. We thought there should be two, but when we had the stereo replace, the locals couldn't find one in the back, so.... REcently had brakes done again, and some fuses, a new fuel pump, and some hoses/lines. We have receipts for all work done since we bought it. We ordered some fender skirts, and have had them painted, but the tires currently on it are too wide for the skirts to go on the car. To be honest, the tires are just too freaking wide, don't know why we bought them in the first place Sometimes when going around a freeway exit/entrance, the rear tires scrape against the fender. Needs carpet work. Center console cover is split. Dashboard top is split from sun (its covered with a fabric cover, ala a low rider). Arm rests on both doors need replacing. Cable for side mirror snapped so needs replacing (mirror is stuck in one position). Rear view mirror is loose, lowers so you can't see (glue worked before). These problems were part of the car when we bought it. Original floor mats in back. Needs them up front. Small tear in ceiling fabric (we did that); its great otherwise. Interior lights don't come on (used to). Steering wheel has the space age design of moving to the right when the driver gets it (you just push it over). Wipers work (we have the chrome blade holders that were on it when we bought it). You also get a FREE T-Bird had (slightly worn), 1964 Thunderbird manual, some letters that spell out Thunderbird (that we thought went on the hood...but apparently not). Might not be original hood, because we have seen '64s with the letters on the hood. We have no idea of the mileage on it. Only five digits on the odometer, and pretty sure its turned over at LEAST once since 1964. Numbers on the plate on the inside of drivers door are 63A N 52 11K 72 1 4 14Y8321006862 We've put about 4,500 on it. Used to drive it once a week, but she's been acting up the last couple years, so its been less (about once or twice a month). The very first picture, and the last five pictures are from 2002; the rest are from 6 February 2011. Car originally from California (now in Georgia).
