Update: Because of all the questions that I am getting on this car I am updating the listing to be sure that no one is confused. This car has an engine issue and could have a transmission solenoid issue. I personally don't recommend someone that doesn't know anything about cars attempting to fix this. In lengthy discussions with my mechanic he said that the issues on this car may be an easy fix or a little more involved. I however am not willing to spend the money on the car now as I have a need for a larger vehicle and any money invested would not be a return on my investment. This has been a good and reliable car. The oil and tranny fluid changed regularly. It is in great condition otherwise but I do not want to hide anything as it is 1999 and not new but I took good care of it. If you are interested bid on a car that although it runs (and the codes would not show up yesterday when I drove it), this car is sold as is and not running. My research has indicated that it may need an Oil Control Valve or VVT Solenoid. All items that can be done relatively simply under the valve cover, but please bidder recognize that this is not a new car although it looks great, I cannot continue to answer so many one off questions. Simply put this is a good car that needs some work. No it is not something that you will drive home, no it is not registered any longer, it is in the state of Massachusetts, it has no body rust (see listing) and it is a good deal to someone with mechanical know how! I am reducing the price as such. Have a great day! 1999 Lexus RX300 Description: This is a Lexus is in good condition with no body rust and a good interior. It has been very well maintained and handles very well. It has all of the trimmings: Heated Seats, Leather Interior, Moon Roof, Lexus Car Phone, Tow Package, Power windows, doors, and locks, A Nakamichi premium stereo, 6 disc CD Changer, and roof rack. Note: this car has the Newer Lexus 17 Inch rims for better ride and less sway. The tires are not that old and have good tread. This car has been a great driver for my wife, however after putting in a new transmission 2 years ago, the car has now decided to throw some engine codes with misfires on cylinders 1,3,5. It was diagnosed by my mechanic as the Variable Valve Timing solenoid. I am not willing to invest any more money into this car and my loss is your gain for a car that likely has an easy fix if you are a mechanic. Mileage is: 156,899 This is an as is sale, and while the car is running and I drove it around town the other day it is sold as a non functioning vehicle and has no warranty expressed or implied.
