Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 The Good You are bidding on a privately owned 1997 Nissan Pathfinder XE with 6-cylinders and manual transmission. The vehicle is 4-wheel drive and has been serviced quite regularly since we purchased it in August, 2000. We bought the vehicle with 36,500 miles on it and we are the second owner. We recently purchased a newer SUV so this vehicle is surplus to our needs. It has been a splendid performer in all seasons. The 4x4 is extremely helpful during the snowy season and while off road. The engine is strong and the clutch shifts smoothly. The original clutch was replaced @ 84,000 miles. The power doors and windows work as they should. The alignment is straight and this vehicle handles the potholes with ease as the front struts were replaced @ 137,710 miles in January, 2008 and the rear shocks were replaced in September, 2006 @ 123,465 miles. The brake pads, rotors, and calipers were done in July 2005 @ 110,982 miles. The water pump and timing belt was replaced @ 93,000 miles. We installed an aftermarket Kenwood Sirius Satellite ready, AM/FM CD-player with detachable face and remote control to replace the factory radio. We will also throw in our Yakima 4-person ski rack (not pictured). We recently replaced a hose to stop a leak coming from a line past the slave cylinder and some faulty emissions codes are currently being rectified. The air conditioning blows cold and was recently recharged in the summer of 2010. The serpentine belt was replaced in July 2010. New Kumho Road Venture tires were purchased in January 2010 @ 156,443 miles. In December of 2009 the lower and upper control arms and bushings were replaced (a known problem with this model). The muffler was also replaced. Oil changes were completed at regular intervals. All service records are accounted for and will accompany the vehicle. We also have the driver's manual, stereo manual, 2 keys with 1 remote fob. The Bad There are several exterior and interior blemishes on this SUV. At almost 14-years old it is starting to show its age. There are several rust spots, predominantly on the front and rear bumpers and a few wheel wells. There are also a few surface dings and dents and the paint has faded from its original shine. There is an old stain in the cargo area and there is a rip on the driver's seat. The hazard light works but is sprung like a jack-in-the-box. The heater works fine and blows hot on full blast. However, it seems to have lost some power in the other three settings. We have tried to take as many pictures of the vehicle as possible to accurately represent it's current condition. With that said this vehicle still has plenty of life in it. With these vehicles, it's all about the engine and how well you service your vehicle. I hope by the notes above, you can tell we serviced this vehicle well throughout the years.
