Up for Auction is my extremely nice 1982 VW Rabbit LS Diesel 5 speed with AC. Due to a recent change in plans, this car will be sold at auction with a $100 starting bid and NO RESERVE!! - bid to own!! This car was purchased new in Alabama and used as a second (or third) car by the original owners and was always maintained. Since then, it has had only one other meticulous owner. The vehicle currently has only 109,000 miles. In the last 10,000 miles, it has had a new timing belt, fuel hoses, fuel filter, drive belts, and injection pump re-sealed. It does not knock, smoke or rattle. It cranks, runs and drives as new. As you would expect, the AC works as it should. The brakes, shifter, clutch, etc, all function as new and the car drives straight and true. The tires are a nice set of Michelins mounted to Mk3 Golf alloys. This car will get 50 MPG and keep you cool at all times!! With the current fuel prices, it doesnt take much math to figure out how long it would take for this car to pay for itself!! As you can see in the pics, the straight body and lack of ANY rust is definitely a highlight of this car. You just dont find them like this anymore. Aside from the car not having any real dents, the paint still has a very nice shine. The roof of the car has been repainted due to sun-fading. The rest of the of the car is original paint with no evidence of an accident or collision repair. This car in particular is very rare given its over all condition. The interior of the car is extremely original with the exception of a new headliner and CD player. The seats are showing some wear and the interior pieces are showing some fading, but are an honest representation given the age and mileage. Over all, this is a very very nice rabbit.
