On Jan-03-11 at 20:00:57 PST, seller added the following information: This 1998 BMW R1200C was customized by its previous owner who was a master mechanic for BMW. The engine is stock, except for the custom made straight pipes. The bike is not loud at idle, but may set off nearby car alarms when under hard acceleration. The tag is side mounted, as is the brake light. There are no turn signals or horn (the horn is actually on the bike, but there is no button for it). The black leather solo seat is handmade. The rear "fender" is custom made. The handle bars are straight, broomstick style and there is one bar-end mirror on the left. The bike has a left-foot clutch and left-hand jockey shift (the lever is made from a connecting rod and topped with a brass skull) located behind the rider's left leg. There are 12670 miles on the odometer and all fluids were changed at 12000 miles. The bike was stolen and recovered and all repairs (new ignition switch, new valve cover, repair wiring harness, etc.) done at Bob's BMW in Columbia, MD. This very unique bike is a BLAST to ride and gets a lot of attention wherever you take it. It runs and rides very well and is in overall very good to excellent condition.
