1999 Ford Police Interceptor - P71 - A real P71 Interceptor with Street Appearance Package - Never a cruiser - A true "Wolf in Sheep's Clothing" This car has been my daily driver since 2001 and is in excellent mechanical condition. I'm told it was originally a detective's car in GA. It was never a cruiser - no spotlight; no attenna holes in the trunk, no holes in the dash etc. It does have Whelen hide-aways that should only be used at car shows or for demonstration purposes on private property. The car is dark blue (Deep Wedgewood Blue) with blue interior. I have consistently washed and waxed it the entire time I've owned the vehicle, so the paint is in good shape, except for a few areas described below. The car runs really well: It accelerates strongly, shifts smoothly and is perfectly suited for crusing the highway at 70mph. I just had the rear-end serviced and the oil changed, so she's ready to go. I wouldn't hesitate to take this car cross-country if I had the chance. The A/C blows cold (compressor replaced last year) and the factory AM/FM CD player sounds great. This Interceptor also stops on a dime - it has aftermarket cross-drilled rotors that allow it to stop faster than many cars half its size. The 4.6 Liter V-8 engine is in excellent condition, with regular oil changes with synthetic or synthetic blend oil since new. Mileage of ~ 155k are almost all highway miles. The tires are four Eagle GT's purchased in 2008 and have 25,600 miles on them (plenty of tread left). If you have always wanted an Interceptor but were not thrilled with a typical cruiser's downside (canvas seats; holes everywhere; potential overuse) this is the one for you. You can take the wife out to dinner in this car and not get any grief about going in the 'cop car'. This car has the several features uncommon in most Interceptors, including: - 60/40 Bench Seat in front (both seats move separately, but are connected) - Factory Cruise Control - Factory cloth upholstery with matching factory carpeting - AM/FM Radio with CD Player - Tinted windows Trouble spots: There are a a few scratches that can probably be buffed out but they are not very noticeable from more then 3 feet away. There is a minor dent in the left rear panel (pictured), and a small fingernail sized hole in the bumper (pictured). All service records and owners manual are available to buyer.
