1973 Plymouth Fury I 4dr Sedan, This has become a very rare and unusual car, something that no one ever cared about until now . Restored Police cars have become all the rage now and this car would make an excellant canidate for this. I believe that this car was probably originally used by a police agency as a detective or admin. car. This car is from Colorado originally and came to Oregon back around 1995. I helped our local Sheriff purchase the car from the last registerd owner with the intention of restoring the car into a black and white 440 powered police car replica. We had spent over a year looking for a 73 Fury sedan to restore but found that these cars just do not exist any more.The time to restore the car never came to be and the Fury went into storage until now. This car has been in storage for over 10 years. Unknown as to its running condition. The engine appears to be the original 318 Cu.In. engine and is complete other than the coil and some AC parts. The driveshaft has been removed by a previous owner so as to tow the car, the drive shaft is with the car. The person that we purchased the car from stated that the car did run and drive but it needed the fuel tank cleaned and a new fuel pump installed. We did not have plans to make the 318 run as we were going to make the car a 440 cu.in. cloned police cruiser. The car is complete other than the coil, AC compressor and condensor. The Fury has PS,Power disc brakes, AC. The body is complete with mostly original paint, there is some rust along the bottom of both rear quarter panels which is very common. The right rocker panel has some blistering but otherwise solid. The floor pans are very nice with some light surface rust. Doors have no rust. The trunk floor is very nice which is very unusual for this type of car. There is no rust issues with the firewall, frame rails, etc. The left front fender has a large dent, should be replaced. All Glass is very nice including the windshield with no chips! The interior is sun baked and needs to be redone. The car originally came with the rubber floor covering instead of carpeting, The rubber mat deteriorated and is now gone. We have a small piece of the original mat that would make a great sample. This car is sold AS IS with no warranty, I do have a Clear Colorado Title for the car. Winning bidder has 30 days to pick up the car and will be responsible for all shipping arrangements and costs. On Mar-09-11 at 16:03:36 PST, seller added the following information: 3/9/11 I have had some inqueries in regards to will the car run. I have installed a coil today and than added a battery with some gas in the carburator to see .if the car would run. It fired up and ran with the first crank of the engine!!! The engine only ran long enough to use up the gas in the carb but it did run well with no knocks or smoke. I will install the drive shaft if the winning bidder would like me to and add gas to the tank to see if the car will drive. The car did run and drive before it was last purchased years ago and the only reason the drive shaft was removed was so the car could be moved 150 miles with a Uhaul tow dolly
