Vehicle Detail

This is a MK1 Triumph Stag. This is a low mileage car, NO RESERVE. Highest bider gets it. I got it this past fall, and won't have time to work on it. My Brother and I removed the seats , and carpets, and stored them in my garage. As you can see the floors and inner rockers are good The Mk1s were less prone to rust then the later mk2s. The dash pad has no cracks. It has 2 very small screw holes. It has a standard transmission. The car had many new parts put on it some years ago and had almost no use since. I looked in all the cylandars with a borescope, and it looked clean, no rust. I put a table spoon of Marvels Misery oil in each cylinder and put the plug back in. I also removed the cam covers. The heads must have almost no miles as there are not even the lightest amber oil stains. It's possible this motor was new when this was parked. The exhaust system has some surface rust and still has original stickers on it it also must have been new when parked. I removed all the wheels, and examined the hub spines, they are all very good with almost no ware. This indicates to me that the indicated 60272 miles is correct. (If you have had powerful cars with wire wheels, you know how badly warn they can be) I have the air box , The brake drums in the trunk were new. There were some losses new parts in a box. Everything is there in the engine bay. The glass is all good. The steering column, one side marker, small rear corner trim, one side rocker trim, and the grill badge are missing. There is rust in the outer rockers, front valance, and front fenders. The car is straight, not dented, never hit. I have had Stags before and this could be is a good one for the $. If you have any questions about parts, feel free to ask. The supply of new and NOS New old stock parts available for this car is fantastic. A good starting place is Rimmer Brothers dot com. The car has air conditioning, and all the parts are there. This car has legal CT papers and can be restored, It would also make an exceptional parts car! I could pull the heads, and wheels, and get my starting bid of $1500, but I don't want to brake up a good Stage. especially a Mk1 Don't forget to read Qand A!
