Vehicle Detail
1991 SAMURAI Up for sale is my 91' Suzuki Samurai 4x4 with fuel injection and just under 82k "actual miles". I've owned this Samurai for a little less than a year now and drive it almost every day around town and to work. I've put about 2,300 miles on it and haven't had any troubles at all. My intent with this samurai was to build a nice street/trail rig but I want to build a house this spring so the toys must go! The reason I picked this samurai was the lack of rust, low miles and of course the fuel injection. This Samurai has new plugs, wires, rotor button, battery, and a rebuilt ECM. It also looks like someone replaced all the ignition components before they realized that the ECM needed rebuilding. (I still have some of the original ignition parts that are probably still good). This samurai runs great down the road, the only thing I've noticed is when it's started cold it has a little bit of a rough idle for about 10 to 20 seconds then the idle evens out. I've recently adjusted the timing going by the manual and it seemed to help a bit but not completely better. I'm no mechanic so it's probably some simple adjustment because it runs great and doesn't smoke, I've never seen any oil drips under it, transmission shifts great, 4x4 works like it should. I've included a brand new clicky starter fix that I haven't yet installed cause sometimes there's a delay when you go to start it. I just haven't had the time to install and it hasn't ever not started. There is also a new uninstalled water pump that it doesn't need yet but it goes with. The check engine light is on because the speedometer isn't working. I checked the code, I think it was 24, against the manual and it said speedo sensor was bad. I haven't looked into that yet because I just plugged in my GPS for speedometer. All the electrical in this samurai works as it should from the new battery back to the tail lights. I installed a nice Alpine CD player to update the non working tape deck that was there. As you can tell by the pics the body looks great. Also has the 2 piece removable hard top that is a great upgrade because it's quieter and last longer than soft top. There is a cosmetic issue with the hood, as I tried to show in hood pic, someone apparently parked this samurai under a walnut tree and the nuts fell down and left small dents on the hood. I do have another hood I can give the winning bidder if they desire but it's camo so you'd need to paint it. There is absolutely no rust rot on this vehicle at all. There are a few spots of surface rust in the bed that I've neutralized, primed, and painted to prevent any spread but over all this samurai has the best body/chassis I've seen on a samurai. I do have the 4 original white rims that match the spare that go with sale. I just put those rims and tires on there because the tires had more tread but still have a little dry rot but they all hold air and that's the only ones I've had on there. By the pics and the description I tried to tell you everything you need to know to make your decision on bidding. The issues listed above are minor and do not affect drive ability, I still drive this samurai everyday and it does great! I only want to do this auction once so please do not bid unless you have the money! This vehicle is 20 years old so it will be sold as-is with no warranty. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have before bidding, I will respond as quickly as I can. Overall this Samurai is a great vehicle for whatever you may want to do with it. I hate to get rid of it and I'm sure the winning bidder won't be disappointed! Thanks and happy bidding!
