Vehicle Detail
This is a 1982 Jeep Scrambler. Sold as is. The exterior is Gold and the interior is nutmeg. Any bid over 7,500 buys it. I have over $7,000.00 in receipts for work done to this Scrambler in the last 3,500-4,000 miles. That does not include the original purchase price of the Scrambler itself. Some of the work done within last 3,500-4,000 miles are: Long block assy. Brake drum,Break line, Vacuum and heater hose bulk,Wheel cylinders, Rear brake shoes, Axle seal iner and outer, Axle bearing, Starter, Fuel filter. Left and right side out tie rod, replace front transfer case seal, pinion seal, repair wiring under dash, replace wheel flares, all drive belts Aluminum valve cover and gasket, Water pump, New carb, Engine mounts, Exhaust studs, Radiator hose New Bestop highback seats 5 new rims and 5 new BF Goodrich All Terrains There are more invoices of minor misc. things replaced. Alot of time and money has been put into this Scrambler so far having it restored. It is current on state inspection. Some of the options are clock and tach., not hooked up. Tilt steering column. It has factory cruise control but it does not work. Components are under hood for cruise . Power Brakes and Power Steering, Factory Wood Rails. 4x4 works, Scrambler drives 70+ mph on the interstate just fine. Shifts in and out of gears fine. The bed and where the tailgate bolts to the body are rusted. It has been repainted and is showing in areas. The body is in good shape with the exception of the bed and where the tailgate bolts up. Driver and passanger floors are original and solid. Some wear marks down to the primer causing the gray/white spots in the photos. Original fenders and windshield frame also. There doesn't appear to be any body work under the paint. Just the original metal panels. I believe the Jeep has spent its whole life in Louisiana so the rust is pretty minium compared to others out there. There was a very cheap bed mat that trapped moisture and caused the bed to rust. I threw it away. There is a small leak underneath if it sits for a while. Frame is solid from what I can tell. I don't see any rot on the frame at all, being a southern Jeep helps. There was some bubbling under the paint so I scraped the paint off and treated the metal. It is surface rust and will be easily repaired. This is a very nice Scrambler if you are looking for one. I planned on finishing the restoration but never did. I have the replacement piece where the tailgate mounts. The bed floor is a very common replacement part and alot of companies sell them. Over 7K in the restoration alone not including the purchase price of the Scrambler itself. I have tried to describe everything that I know about it. Please ask any questions. If you would like more photos email me and I will get them to you asap. I have all of the invoices for work performed as mentioned above. I have clear title in hand. motor is a 258 I-6 with a four speed transmission Jeep is for sale locally. I reserve the right to end the auction early
