Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a beautiful 1985 Honda v65 sabre with low mileage. The mileage is 26,700,which is only roughly 1000 miles per year. The bike starts easily, looks great, runs and shifts perfectly. Also includes the hard to find Honda front fairing, and very nice leather saddle bags. The bike is very nice, but not perfect,as it has a chip here and there, but is still one of the cleanest and most original examples of this rare 2 year production motorcycle. The bike is ready to ride.It runs very smooth with great exceleration, and shifts effortlessly through all gears. You can see,it has been well taken care of.I bought it to ride, but it is too much bike for me.I will not give it away, and I have the reserve set at what a local bike mechanic told me to set it at.Everything works, even the digital clock. The tires are in great condition(almost new),the seat has no blemishes or tears, and the tank is spotless on the inside, and no dents either. Also the exhaust is solid, all brakes work great, lights work great. These bikes are made for experienced riders, not novices.Look over the pics and ask me anything you wish, and I will respond as soon as possible. Please only serious bidders.I will accept a down payment of $500 at the end of the auction, and the remainder must be paid via Paypal or cash in person upon pick-up.I will help in shipping also.If you need it shipped, please contact me prior to the end of the auction.Anyone needing to have the bike taken to a shipper, and tied down will have to pay a handling fee of $100 US dollars.Pick-ups and /or you send a shipper to my residence, the there is no handling fee.I have represented the bike to the best of my knowledge, and my feedback will reflect my outstanding rating of satisfied customers in the past.I know bikes, and have riden them all my life, and can honestly say that I would cruise this one anywhere without worry. Please bid with confidence. You will definately love this rare piece of Honda history. Thanks for looking 2-20-2011: 1) A few things that I forgot to mention is that the left mirror on the fairing has been replaced due to the old one having a crack in it. 2)When I got the bike it had a small crack in the plastic on the lower fairing,so Fixed it simply with a small zip tie,and now it is hardly noticable, and is holding well. 3)The bike will need a choke cable.Right now you have to pull out on the choke manually with your hand, because the cable broke. However when it gets warm, you really do not even need to choke the bike to start it,justy a few twists of the throttle, and hit the start button and it will start right up.These are cold blooded bikes and require warming up to get the engine warm ,prior to taking off. 2-21-2011 Due to our economy, which stinks,I have a whole lot of watchers,71, to be exact, but no bids.Just to let everyone know,I will not relist this item, due to the high cost of Ebay motors listings.I have just today also listed the motorcycle here locally, and reserve the right to end this auction at anytime, unless there are bids placed. If I get a bid on ebay, then I will cancel the local sale of this bike.I feel the bike is worth every penny of what I am asking. Please look at my feedback and bid with confidence.I don't sell junk. Thanks for taking your time to view my listing and good luck to all if participating in the auction. Thanks,Twowheelpeel!
