Feedback less than 10? please call me to discuss my terms and conditions or I will have to cancel your bid. John 330 958-1825. As you can see, I'm not a dealer, so no free toasters, no big screen TV's but then you don't have to take that trip down the hall to the finance guy's office and hey, what you bid is what you pay--no doc fees either. I'll even pick you up at the airport when it's convenient for YOU. And about the price for this car. Look at what dealers are asking. Look at what some private sellers are asking for a car that went thru 3 auctions and 7 owners. This car has been stored winters in a climate controlled garage and shows no evidence of weather exposure. I make a living and enjoy solid feedback by telling as much as I know about the vehicles I list. You have my personal description guarantee that if the car disappoints you when you come out to pick it up, we can cancel the sale--no FBI calls, no law suits, no bad feedback. If my description doesn't meet your expectations don't buy it. Of course we all know by now that any used car no matter how well kept can have unknown defects and is sold as-is, where-is with no guarantee except that it is a used car which may or may not do what you expect it to do. I drove one of these 7 series cars for a couple years--that had more than twice the miles of this car but performed very similarly. After 20,000 trouble free miles I sold it for what I paid for it. A 7-series beemer is an automotive experience everyone should have. We are talking about a 1998 model that a lot of the BMW faithful still consider to be the best body style ever for this series. Lets look at it this way: For about the cost of a same-vintage Toyota Camry you are getting a German engineered vehicle with: Front AND REAR side air bags and BMW head-protection systemXenon high intensity head lightsNew, full-size spare mounted on fifth matching alloy rim--never out of the trunkAmazing self-leveling suspension that still makes GM engineers scratch their headsHeated seats and heated steering wheel with audio controlsBuilt in BMW cell phone which works thru the stereo systemKeyless entry with 2 fobsFactory sound system: suit-case sized amp hidden in the trunk, mode-selectable Digital Signal Processing. Try the "Concert Hall"setting and you'll think the Grateful Dead are in the backseat plus there's probably enough room back there for them and their instruments! How about highway cruising at 27 MPG in a smooth-as-glass, German-limo-that-handles? Our domestic car companies spent a ton of money lobbying against the CAFE mileage standards because they didn't think it was possible to get this kind of performance out of a passenger car. Let alone out of a near-limo sized V-8 Luxury vehicle. And note that BMW did this easily, 10 years ago, without any funky blocking off cylinders or other engineering hocus-pocus. Ridiculously clean, issue-free, ready to drive anywhere, long wheel base example. Check out the accident free Autocheck report--look at the score this car gets against the more typical 5-owner, 3-auctions type example. This car belongs to the wife of a retired dentist friend. I vacuumed the interior and took the photos. This is how it has always been kept. No mats in this car and look at the interior. They apparently don't even have friends with dirty shoes. The engine compartment looks near showroom. Note the lack of brake dust caking the front wheel illustrating how carefully this car was driven. It has seen about 4000 miles a year of summer miles the past 5 or 6 years. Regularly serviced at dealers and the best local MB specialist, owners manual and service records. The bottom of the car is very nice, stainless steel exhaust front to back is solid and quiet. The suspension on these cars is alloy reducing the weight and all I can say is Germans know how to make a big car handle--you'll find out why the car mags rave about this model. Just got an oil change (2 galons of synthetic oil--no wonder these engines last so long), fluid and safety check. No check engine lights or warnings, Recent service includes: -rear control arm replaced -power steering hose assembly replaced -tie rods replaced -ceramic pads and rotors replaced -valve cover gaskets replaced -collant expansion tank assembly replaced -front stabilizer link replaced -O2 sensor replaced The paint is typical 2' deep BMW and this car could pass for 2 or 3 yrs old from 20' away. Here's the nit-pick list: several small spots with paint blistering where front of rear bumpers attach to rear fender sheet metal (close up pic provided) maybe 1 square inch blem on either side. a small dent in one door center front bumper trim piece is missing (picture added to show) several small scrapes on bumper skin plastic and cracks in plastic inserts dash mounted cup holder retraction mechanism is broken--holder works digital display panel on the dash has a few pixels not lighting up but is still quite readable battery is giving it up, starts fine but doesn't like sitting for a week in this cold weather oil pan gasket showing some minor seepage, not enough to leave oil on the floor New Cooper touring tires, current on fluid service, strong quiet brakes, sun roof, rear window sun shade, rear seat passenger foot rests, concert hall stereo, small V-8, smooth as silk beemer transmission, all the teutonic goodies--heated steering wheel, hot seats, memory everything. Read the list below before you ask me if it has something as it probably has it. You could play soccer in the back seat of this thing. Read consumer reviews of this car, it is acclaimed as the best riding and handling of the big-sled country club class. This car went out the door in '98 for close to $70k. Drive this bad boy away for less than 10% of that and see what the car types are talking about. Without much depreciation to worry about, you can drive it for a couple years and move on.
