I've heard it all so save your story for someone sensitive and caring yet stupid. I'm listing this sexy (well, how bout functional?) Windstar for a busy veterinarian friend. I'm the 'go-to' car guy in a big family (how about '82 first cousins--just on my dad's side) and I list vehicles for friends and family which keeps me pretty busy. This was mother's car who used it sparingly. It's has been serviced regularly so it is ready to drive anywhere. Great Autocheck report no dings, paint looks all original. (But as my wife points out, I'd be in good shape too if I only had 45k miles on me). I've been driving it around for errands the past few weeks and it is a good winter car. Starts right up, drives out smooth and quite. Great on the highway with the new tires, battery, cruise control, clear and un-dinged windshield and everything working as expected. No reason this car couldn't go another 100k miles or so as many that you see listed have that many or more miles. About the SellerI am a mechanical engineer with 35 yrs experience in the automotive aftermarket. I make living and enjoy a solid feedback rating by telling you the whole story. I provide pictures of the underside of the car, and you have my personal description guarantee that if you come to pick the car up and it does not meet your expectations, I will simply cancel the sale. No FBI call, negative feedback, complaint to the BBB, etc. If it's not what you thought it would be from my description I'll take responsibility for that. Of course as we all know by now, any used car no matter how carefully examined can have unknown defects and is sold as-is, where-is with no guarantees that it is anything but a used car which may or may not do what you expected it to do. The car is available locally so may disappear suddenly and I will end auctions early if your idea of a fair price coincides with mine. Additional details and nit picsBody is in very solid shape with just a little rust showing at bottom edge of sliding door. Front door bottoms are clean. Photos of bottom of car show how solid it is. Bumper's have normal scrapes, paint shows some minor dings and scratches but overall very good condition for it's vintage. Alloy rims are showing some surface corrosion but are solid with no dents, dings cracks or curb hits. The rear seats were stored in the owners garage--I don't think they were ever in the car. The fabric is tight and clean but the foam at the bottom is dried out and crumbling slightly and the seats have a little musty smell which seems to be dissipating with time.
